New Oyo plan gives US owners more flexibility

Oyo, the India-based technology-based platform for small hotels and homeowners across 800 cities in 80 countries, on Wednesday announced the start of their Partner Prosperity campaign in the United States, a six-month-long initiative focused on giving its partners the technology features, tools and policy updates they asked for.

The first updates directly address the number one request Oyo received from partners: more flexibility and control. All updates will be available to all partners on March 1. The include:

  • Smart pricing V2. Updates to OYO’s Smart Pricing tool now enable partners to adjust their room rates +/- 40% of OYO’s suggested rates (previously +/- 20%) for up to 90 days (previously 30) without automatic daily reset.
  • Direct hotel connect. OYO is implementing a “no questions asked” policy to directly transfer any callers to the property if requested and adding an option to the customer service menu to bypass call center agents.
  • Inventory management control. Revised policies and technology enable partners to block up to 10% of room inventory—for repairs, maintenance, or personal use—without OYO approval or intervention.
  • Real-time booking modifications. Self-service is expanding for many types of booking modifications, allowing partners to modify bookings without waiting for approval by OYO.
  • Customizable amenities and hotel policies. OYO OS now allows partners to easily customize amenities, giving owners the flexibility to adapt to local market needs without restrictive brand requirements.

“The U.S. is an important market for OYO and we are proud of the growth we have achieved since we launched in 2019,” said Kasra Moshkani, head of OYO US. “This initiative is designed to meet the needs of our existing partners and further bolster their success. Our dynamic pricing engine is powered by benchmark industry data, analytics, and proprietary algorithms designed to deliver higher revenue and occupancy at every OYO hotel in the U.S.”

Moshkani added, “The indelible impact of COVID-19 drove us to focus on our core strengths—technology, data science, and operational excellence—and we are excited to leverage our learnings to improve our partner offering. Our success as a company is directly related to the satisfaction and engagement of our partners. We take the feedback of our partners seriously and the Partner Prosperity campaign is just one example of our commitment to their long-term success. We also believe our continuously updated technology and proprietary tools will attract new partners to the OYO family.”
