People on the move: Dellisart, Aimbridge, Viceroy

Dellisart LLC, Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina, announced the promotion of Ken Roberts to president of the company.

Roberts has been with Dellisart since early 2007 when he joined the company as VP Operations, where he was charged with overseeing the general operations responsibilities of all the properties in the company’s portfolio.

“I am excited and looking forward to continuing our aggressive growth strategy for the company,” said Ken Roberts, President, Dellisart LLC. “We are committed to providing our customers and partners a higher return on investment and maximizing the value of their asset.”

Prior to Dellisart, Roberts held various positions with Marriott International, White Lodging and Island Hospitality. He is a graduate of Henry Ford Community College in Dearborn, Michigan.

Viceroy Hotels and Resorts, Washington, D.C., appointed Sherry Abedi as area general manager. Most recently, Abedi served as the general manager for Thompson Washington D.C.

Tampa, Florida-based Mainsail Lodging & Development and IDP Properties Valdosta, Georgia, announced the appointment of Stephan Amesoeder as general manager of the new boutique hotel in Macon, Georgia (401 Cotton Avenue), that will join to join Marriott’s Tribute Portfolio. Amesoeder was most recently general manager at the Andover Inn in Andover, Massachusetts.

Hutton Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, has named Kristina Angley as director of sales and marketing. Angley previously worked at Sage Hospitality Group, Denver, Colorado.

Thompson San Antonio – Riverwalk, San Antonio, Texas, announced it has appointed Carlos Batista as director of food and beverage and Tanner Johnson as director of bars and beverage. Batista recently served as director of food and beverage at the Shore Club Hotel in South Beach Miami, Florida. Johnson was previously the assistant director of food & beverage at Kimpton Shorebreak Resort in Huntington Beach, California.

Niro Investment Group, Romania, appointed Christophe Chamboncel as head of hospitality and development. Prior to joining NIRO Investment Group, Christophe Chamboncel served as Vice-President Operations Management for Southeastern Europe within Paris-based Accor Group. Niro Investment Group has invested in several major hospitality projects in the past few years, with a total investment worth EUR 85 million (US$ 100 million).

Hospitality group Long Weekend, New York, New York, announced the addition of Guy Chetwynd as vice president of culture and experience and Cate Mills as vice president of design to their senior leadership team. Chetwynd most recently served as director of operations for London, United Kingdom-based Soho House & Co’s central region. Mills previously served as creative director at AD100 interior design firm Gachot Studios, New York.

The Grand Geneva Resort & Spa, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, announced that Jenna Darcy has been appointed as director of marketing & communications. Darcy joins the Grand Geneva Resort & Spa team from White Lodging Services, where she spent over six years serving as a corporate senior marketing manager.

Arlington, Texas-based Aimbridge Hospitality welcomed Mark Frances to the management team as resort managing director and Betty Gonzalez as communications and marketing director of Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico. Most recently, Frances operated the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California, as the managing director. Betty Gonzalez brings more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. During her tenure, she has led communications and marketing teams for various resorts in Puerto Rico.

Jay Gamble has been named general manager of Wintergreen Resort in Wintergreen, Virginia. Gamble will transition from Ragged Mountain in New Hampshire where he has served as general manager for the past three years.

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, Washington, announced Michael Grande as executive chef. He worked most recently in Sacramento, California, where he was the executive chef for Hyatt Regency Sacramento.

Epicurean Hotel, Tampa, Florida, announced the promotions of Audrey Greminger to director of sales and Vicente Lavayen to director of food & beverage. Fatima Del Carmen has also joined the team as event manager. Greminger’s most recent role as senior sales manager at Epicurean. Lavayen was most recently the restaurant general manager for Élevage, Epicurean’s food and beverage outlet. Del Carmen comes to the Epicurean team by way of Orlando, where she spent the past seven years as the convention sales/services manager for the Holiday Inn Lake Buena Vista.

Concord Hospitality Enterprises, Raleigh, North Carolina, announced that Ting Hu has been promoted to vice president of business applications. Hu was previously senior director of business applications at Concord.

JLL Hotels & Hospitality, London, announced Brian Hughes joined the Investment Sales and Advisory team in Dallas, Texas. Hughes most recently serving as a senior vice president at Ashford Hospitality Trust, Dallas.

The Edgewater Hotel, Seattle, Washington, announced the appointment of Ian Robert McClendon as general manager. Prior, McClendon worked as the director of operations for LOGE Camps, North Bend, Washington.

Brush Creek Luxury Ranch Collection, Saratoga, Wyoming, announced the appointment of Dave Montrose to senior vice president of operations. Montrose comes to Brush Creek Ranch from Janko Hospitality, Downers Grove, Illinois, where he served as chief executive officer.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, announced Derek Morrison has been promoted to general manager of the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace in Madison, Wisconsin. Morrison’s most recent position was general manager of the Crowne Plaza Northstar in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Richard Poskanzer has been announced as general manager of the new Four Seasons Hotel and Private Residences Nashville, Tennessee. Poskanzer was previously hotel manager at Four Seasons Hotel Westlake Village, California.

The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, California, announced the appointment of Mathieu Riviere as general manager. Riviere previously served as the resort’s hotel manager.

Orlando, Florida-based Wyndham Destinations announced the promotions of several individuals in its resort operations division. Niladri Sarkar joins as general manager of WorldMark Granby – Rocky Mountain Preserve in Colorado. Most recently, he held the role of general manager at Anderson Ocean Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. James Tennery has accepted the role of general manager for WorldMark Arrow Point in Idaho. Tennery was previously general manager with Vacasa, Portland, Oregon, and Equity Lifestyle properties based in Lake Tahoe, California. Erick Acuna has been promoted to general manager of WorldMark Marble Falls in Texas. He was most recently rooms manager at Club Wyndham Austin, Austin, Texas. Stephanie Galloway joined Wyndham Destinations as general manager at WorldMark West Yellowstone in Montana. Previously, she was the general manager for Three Bears Resort in Wisconsin. Zack Hubbard was promoted to general manager at Club Wyndham Sedona in Arizona. Since joining the company in 2011, he has honed his leadership skills through a variety of roles including guest services manager at WorldMark McCall in Idaho, housekeeping manager for WorldMark Branson in Missouri and assistant general manager for WorldMark Lake Tahoe in Nevada. Eve Movius earned a promotion to the general manager role for WorldMark Anaheim in California. Before becoming general manager at WorldMark Anaheim, she served as the assistant general manager at the property.

Steven Sterritt is the new executive chef at W Aspen, Aspen, Colorado. He most recently worked at the Aspen Glen Club in Carbondale, Colorado.

The Joseph, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, announce the appointment of three new executive team members: Mark Yanke as general manager; Kalyana Krishnamoorthy as director of food and beverage; and Pilar Ortiz as director of people and culture. Most recently, Yanke served as the general manager for Virgin Hotels in Dallas, Texas. Prior to joining The Joseph Nashville, Krishnamoorthy served as the director of food and beverage for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Co. in Qatar. Prior to her role at The Joseph Nashville, Ortiz served as the director of people and culture at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, Seattle, Washington, and Four Seasons Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo.
